A very special interview with John Lydon is broadcast tomorrow, Saturday, November 24th at 10:05pm, UK on BBC World Service. 'An Audience With John Lydon' was recorded back in March to an audience of 150 people. As you may remember we invited people to submit questions at the time.
John talks candidly about his whole career including the making and release of 'This is PiL'. Definitely not be missed. The hour long interview debuts tomorrow on BBC World service and will also be available via BBC iPlayer.
Reminder: Palladia TV in the USA repeat PiL's appearance on Later With Jools Holland this Friday, 16th at 9am EST. It is then repeated on Tuesday, 20th at 2am, and Friday, 23rd at 4pm. See Palladia TV for full schedule.

The New York based non-profit production company, Artists Public Domain (APD), began filming the 'Untitled John Lydon/PiL Documentary' in March of 2010. APD spent nearly three months traveling across America with PiL, filming shows, backstage, and interviews with Mr. Lydon and the band. After more than two years and following the release of PiL's new album 'This is PiL' , APD is picking up where it all began with the filming of PiL's show at the Nokia Theatre on Sunday, October 28th.

The “Reggie" in Reggie Song is a real person and a good friend of John Lydon’s from the multicultural melting pot of Finsbury Park in North London where they both grew up.
Out of the Woods is about Stonewall Jackson, one of America’s greatest generals and a tactical genius, who against overwhelming odds, helped win the battle of Chancellorsville in the War for Southern Independence.
Reggie Song / Out Of The Woods is self-funded by PiL and will be released on PiL’s own label ‘PiL Official’ via Cargo UK Distribution (Red Eye USA). All the new material was recorded in the UK last year at Steve Winwood’s studio in the Cotswolds.
PiL closed their UK tour on Sunday in Leicester. The shows were absolutely stunning with the band including 5 songs from the new This is PiL album. All of which went down a treat with the crowds.
Next stop North America. Look out for some other announcements in the coming weeks... This is PiL.

PiL have their first radio session in 20 years on the Xfm X-Posure Show. Host John Kennedy will broadcast a song a night all this week starting tonight, Monday, July 23rd at 11pm. Kennedy also conducted an excellent song-by-song interview with John Lydon when 'This is PiL' was released; which you can still listen to via the XFM website.
John will also be appearing on the Robert Elms Show on BBC Radio London at approx 2:30pm tomorrow, Tuesday, July 24th. You can listen via the BBC iPlayer.

Saturday's show at the Rock In Idrho in Milan was cancelled due to extreme weather just before PiL were due to take the stage. Torrential rain and thunderstorms caused irreparable damage to the PA. John and all the PiL team were gutted to have to cancel, but had no choice. John has this message to pass on…
The storm of the century is looming on the outskirts of Milano and they have cancelled the gig just before Public Image was about to hit the stage. I apologise to Italy. And I apologise to concert goers everywhere and anywhere, PiL will not be denied. Hope you get your money back. And we hope to get the chance to play again. Because we love Italy. Thank you for putting up with us, you know it is not our fault, this is what Policemen do. Oh, and it did rain before we went on. Thank you…

We regret to announce that the PiL show this Saturday, June 30th, at Barcelona, Razzmatazz has been cancelled due to adverse circumstances.
PiL – along with promoters Doctor Music - very much regret the situation and hope to have the opportunity to play a concert in Barcelona in the future. Refunds will be given at point of sale from now and during a period of 30 days. See the Doctor Music website for more info...
Tomorrow's show (Friday) in Belgrade still goes ahead and the rest of the tour will continue as planned. Sorry Barcelona.

PiL begin touring this Friday (29th) at the Belgrade Calling Festival. Sadly there will NOT be anymore UK dates added. This of course is subject to change. This is PiL.
We therefore recommend those waiting for more dates to book up for one of the existing shows. We've had many messages of support from Scottish fans, we'd suggest that Newcastle or Manchester would be their easiest option; likewise for fans in Yorkshire. For those disappointed that both Brighton shows are sold-out we'd recommend Bournemouth.
Its also worth pointing out there are only 17 tickets left for Reading. Get in there Lollipops. (tickets available here)

The video was directed, produced and filmed by John Rambo Stevens and Walter Jaquiss; as was the One Drop promo.

BBC4 begin a 3 part series on punk, tonight, Friday, June 1st as part of the BBC 'Punk Britannia' season. John is interviewed for the series and PiL will feature in part 3.

This is PiL gets its first official release tomorrow (May 25th) in Germany. With most other countries following on Monday (28th). USA and Canada will be Tuesday (29th). Rolling Stone has an exclusive stream of 'Deeper Water' from the forthcoming PiL album. The song has already been performed live but this is the first time it has been streamed anywhere. This version is a radio edit, the full version appears on This Is PiL, released May 28th.
This is PiL is now available to pre-order on iTunes via this link. The iTunes download features an exclusive 15 minute video filmed during the recording of the album at Steve Winwood's Cotswolds studio in 2011. The video was directed, produced and filmed by John Rambo Stevens and Walter Jaquiss; as was the One Drop promo we posted on Monday.
Please note the CD / DVD deluxe version of the album will now be released a few days after the release of the standard CD and vinyl LP on May 28th. Amazon have stated the deluxe will be June 4th but we hope it will be available beforehand. The standard CD and vinyl LP will still be released on May 28th.

The Sex Pistols will release a limited edition 7" record of their first ever single 'Anarchy in the UK' on April 21st for Record Store Day via Universal Music.
The re-mastered picture disc 7" single will also feature original b-side track "I Wanna Be Me", and will be available internationally, but limited to just 3,500 records.
Universal will also release 'God Save The Queen' on May 28th 2012 exactly 35 years and a day after it was first released.
"I would like to very strongly distance myself from the recent stories and campaign to push God Save The Queen for the number 1 spot over the Jubilee weekend. It is certainly not my personal plan or aim.
I am proud of what The Sex Pistols achieved and always will be but this campaign totally undermines what The Sex Pistols stood for. This is not my campaign.
I am pleased that the The Sex Pistols recordings are being put out there for a new generation however I wish for no part in the circus that is being built up around it. I am currently very focused on Public Image Ltd."

As reported in the media last week. The Sex Pistols turned down an invitation to perform at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics.
Speaking in this weeks NME John commented: "They tried to get us involved in the Olympics, and what they wanted to do was, they're going to do this thing where celebrities go around the stadium on the back of flat top lorries. So there will be Naomi Campbell in a Vivienne Westwood dress, followed by Madness doing 'Baggy Trousers', and then the Pistols doing 'Pretty Vacant'. But without the 'vay-cunt’, just 'pretty' and the word 'censored'. So the answer is, 'no fucking way.' Don't need it, don't want it."

Public Image Ltd can confirm that their first new album in 20 years ‘This Is PiL’ released on May 28th will contain 12 tracks (tracklisting below). The album is self-funded by PiL and will be released on PiL’s own label ‘PiL Official’ via Cargo UK Distribution. All the new material was recorded in the UK last year at Steve Winwood’s studio in the Cotswolds.
