The July 12th issue of NME has an interview with John in it. For now, the NME web site offers just a couple of bits from the interview. Some U.S. book and record stores carry NME, but you'll probably have to wait a couple of weeks for them to stock it.

Lydon will be the featured live guest on the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) radio show 'RealTime' heard in Canada on CBC FM on Saturday, June 28th. I had to make a separate section for this one!

I found a new interview with John from the Virgin Records homepage. Lydon talks about his new CD and offers his "explanations" for 9 out of the 10 new songs. Again, if you want to read it, please go to the interviews page. Virgin Records also confirms that the new CD will be out on July 1st. Their Lydon section also has some good clips of "Grave Ride" and "Sun" available for download. You can also purchase the CD on-line through them.

More info from the new issue of Billboard magazine... Supposedly in the 1 page article (I haven't bought it yet), John talks about last years Pistols reunion tour and the new solo CD. It also mentions that John plans to put up his own web-site very soon. Well, I did a little research and it turns out that it's actually Virgin's website for promoting Lydon. And as of today there's still nothing up there yet. The address of the site will be www.johnlydon.com

I finally got the transcript of the May 23rd Tom Snyder interview done last night. Also, I just put up some pics and sound files for it as well. The pics are at the beginning and the sound files are 'here and there' in the transcript. To read it, go to the interviews section.

Someone from Toronto wrote me saying that he was able to find and purchase the new CD on the 17th. He just wrote me back confirming that it is the actual 15 track one.

Lydon on the Radio in Canada

Quite an interesting night! Lots of phone calls and questions to John who was broadcasted live on the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) radio show 'RealTime' across Canada and worldwide via RealAudio on the internet. The full transcript (including sound bites) is located in interviews.

We're going to see a lot of concert info on Lydon, now that he's announced his North American tour. According to John (on CBC's 'RealTime' June 28th), he will be listed under the name "Cocktail Jazz With Johnny". So for now, the place to get all the tour info is at...

"Psycho's Path" Release Date Pushed Back to July 1st

Well... after calling every record store in Southern California, I could not locate the new CD anywhere. Apparently the release date has now been pushed back to July 1st. I was told this tragic bit of info from several record store employees and people who mailed me. I have no idea why this delay is occurring. The only reason I can think of is that it might have something to with either promotion or production problems. Who knows?!

Either way, I will still be busy looking for it every day until then - just in case!
You never know! I'll keep you posted.

"Psycho's Path" Finally Released in the US!!

YES!! The entire original 10 tracks, plus 4 remixes and "Open Up". I'm going to go grab my copy here shortly. Of course, I'll let you know what I think of it! I'm quite sure it's going to be very interesting! I hope to have some time soon to put up a few sound files of the mixes plus the Tom Snyder transcript/pics I promised a couple of weeks ago. Also, if anyone happens to catch any info/interviews with Lydon I'd love to know about it! I'm sure he's going to be out and about promoting "PP".

New CD To Hit the French Music-shelves Early


According to Gregori Faroux, the new CD will be released in France on Friday, June 13th. Unfortunately, the US release is still slated for the 17th. Why do they get it 4 days early?!

(I think this release may just be the same 10-track-only one I have.)
